How to use Giloy for different Diseases?

Giloy which is commonly known as Guduchi in Hindi and Tinospora cordifolia in scientifically is regarded as highly effective and highly nutritional. Giloy stem, its roots, and leaves are quite helpful in many diseases like fever, allergy, cold, hair loss, skin diseases, etc. The shloka of Charak Samhita says that the Giloy herb is bitter and is useful in alleviating Vata and Kapha dosha. The herb translates as Heart Leaved Moonseed in English while it translates ‘Amrita” in Sanskrit that denotes “the root of immortality”.

Giloy For Skin

Giloy stem is known to control skin allergies and improve skin health as it is full of antioxidants. The Giloy detoxifies the body and removes toxins out from the body and possesses anti-aging properties. Moreover, the Giloy boosts the immunity that also helps in keeping your skin cells healthy and generates the growth of new cells.

How to use Giloy for skin?

  • Take about 6-7 Giloy leaves and boil them in water.
  • After boiling the leaves sufficiently, let them cool for some time.

  • Section out your hair and apply this paste well on your scalp to the tips of your hair.
  • Let it sit for 30 minutes, and then wash your hair off with any shampoo.

 Giloy for Fever

Giloy is quite helpful in controlling several chronic fevers like dengue, malaria,  and hay fevers.  Fever normally happens because of two reasons either due to the pathogens entering your body or by the toxins that remain in the body from food and water. The Giloy being rich in Javarghan can fight and reduce fever. Moreover, because of the anti-inflammatory properties, the Giloy addresses the root cause of the fever and helps the body to regain its normal temperature.
