Best summer drinks in India

The summer season has started and the temperature is also gradually increasing. After a few days, the period of severe heat will start and the temperature will be at its peak. In such a situation, cold drinks are the best option to protect yourself from heatstroke and dehydration. Here by cold drink, I do not mean Coke or Pepsi, but such soft drinks, which give you relief in summer. Some beverages / juices / drinks are prevalent in different areas of the country. Like in Bihar sattu (roasted gram + barley flour) is consumed. On the other hand, coconut is easily available in South India. That’s why people there consume coconut water during summers. People consume them in other parts of the country as well.

10 Indian drinks that will keep you cool this summer

Nimbu Pani

Talking about the cheapest and most consumed drink in summer, lemonade is at number one. In Western India it is called Nimbu Pani and in North India it is called Shikanji.

The sale of lemonade increases during the summer. But you can also make it at home. You can make it even more delicious by adding mint juice, roasted cumin powder and black salt.

Some people also add ginger juice to it. But avoid using it in summers due to the hot nature of ginger.

Aam ka panna

Who does not like the taste of mango, there is hardly anyone who does not like mango.

But when it comes to pickles and paana made from kari (green unripe mango), the mouth waters. Pana is prepared from raw mango and it prevents heat stroke in summer.

Consumption of paana keeps coolness in the body. Also, raw mango is rich in vitamin C and iron.

Boil raw mango in water and mash it. After that add chilli, masala, cumin etc. according to taste and drink it. This will give relief in summer.

Lassi

Be it Punjab or Haryana, here one gets a big glass of lassi with food in summer. Drinking it keeps the body energetic. Apart from this, it is beneficial for health in many ways.

Curd is easily available in most of the households of North India. You can also eat parathas in breakfast with curd. Or if you want, you can make lassi and drink it.

Due to the cooling effect, curd cools the body. If you want, you can add sugar or salt as per taste.

Mint sherbet

Mint is also consumed in summer due to its cooling effect. In such a situation, you can drink by mixing mint in drinks. It can also be used for garnishing. Mint cools the body and also keeps the digestive system healthy.

Apart from this, mint detoxifies the body along with giving relief from nausea. It is also a good source of Vitamin C, B complex vitamins and minerals like calcium, phosphorus, zinc and copper.

Coconut water

If you have easily available coconut water in summer, then you can consume it in many ways.

You can drink it without adding any kind of herb. But if you want to test it even better, then add salt and ground cumin seeds according to taste.

By doing this you will get to drink a new flavor of coconut water. Then what is it, keep experimenting with new spices every day.

Watermelon juice

Consuming watermelon in summer is good for health. Watermelon is best consumed in summers as it is naturally cooling. Drinking watermelon juice also detoxifies the body.

How to make Watermelon Juice?

Take three to four cut watermelon and a cup of water. Then put it in a mixer and prepare the juice.

Lemon juice

Lemon juice proves to be very useful in summers. It doesn’t take much effort to make it. Lemons are easily available. Antioxidants are found in plenty in lemon which are beneficial for health. Many types of diseases can be avoided by consuming lemon juice in summer.

How to make lemon juice?

First, cut the lemon and extract the juice. Then mix this juice in a glass of water.

Tomato juice

Tomato is beneficial for health. Tomatoes are commonly used as a salad. If you do not like to eat tomatoes in the form of salad, then you can also make juice and drink it. Tomato juice protects against heat.

Tomato juice recipe

Put a glass of water and a tomato in a mixer. After five to seven minutes, take out the juice from the mixer and add salt to it according to your taste.

Sattu juice

Sattu juice is beneficial for health in summer. A glass of sattu juice provides coolness to the body.

How to make Sattu Juice?

Its drink is prepared by mixing a teaspoon of sattu in a glass of water.
