Anal fistula is a narrow tunnel with its internal opening in the anal canal and external opening in the skin near the anus. Any infection in the anal canal leads to the build-up of a channel and oozing of pus. The tract developed by this process is called fistula. Anal fistula is an irritating and painful condition due to drainage of pus.
Causes of Anal Fistula
As per Ayurveda, Anal fistula occurs due to vitiation of Tridoshas (Vata, Pitta and Kapha). Imbalance of Tridoshas leads to the development of bacterial infection and accumulation of pus around the anus.
