Morphological characteristics

Danti (Baliospermum Montanum) Is a shrub that grows up to the height of 1.8 m and whose branches are herbaceous that are arising from the roots. The upper branches of this plant bear small lanceolate leaves and the lower branches possess 3 to 5 lobed, Simple, and sinuate toothed leaves. Its flowers are numerous, unisexual, and arranged in axillary racemes. The calyx of this plant is long, round, membranous, and has 5 to 6 disc glands. The female flowers are Harry and ovide with lanceolate sepals. Its fruit is 3 lobed capsules with seeds inside it that are smooth and have oily endosperms. These flowers bloom in January and February and after one-month fruits appear.

Danti (Baliospermum Montanum) is found throughout the sub-Himalayan tracks from Khasi hills to Kashmir, Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, etc. It is also native to tropical and subtropical Himalayas and in various southern parts of India.
