Morphological characteristics of Safed Musli

Musli is a small herb that grows up to the height of 2 to 3 cm and it has multiple roots that are white in color and soft in nature. Its stem is slippery, soft and white with leaves that are dark green that resembles the palm tree. Its flowers are small and yellow in color and bloom in the rainy season.

Habitat:

It is native to Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Western Himalaya, etc, and also commonly found in Salforests, Dun valley, and Siwlkies. In recent years, it is also cultivated in Kerala and Karnataka as a commercial crop.
