Diet Chart for Male Sexual Health

The graph of disorders related to male sexual health is rapidly rising nowadays. The sexual health disorders such as erectile dysfunction, infertility, premature ejaculation, etc. are affecting around 70% of the total men of the world. The males suffering from sexual health disorders feel symptoms like difficulty in erection, low sexual drive, decreased sperm count, low self-esteem, stress, etc. These sexual health disorders can negatively affect healthy relationships and can affect the person’s psychology.


The factors responsible for causing the sexual health disorders in males include the low levels of testosterone, excess smoking and alcohol consumption, adverse effects of several medications, stroke or nerve damage, stress and depression conditions. These factors contribute to low libido in males. 

Diet Chart for Male Sexual health

Early morning- Coriander water/ Fenugreek water

After 15 minutes- Cow’s milk/ Herbal tea

Breakfast- Veg Poha (Rice flakes)/ Veg Seviyan (Vermicelli) / Veg Upma (Semolina)/ Veg Dalia/ Stuffed Chapatti/ Chapatti with Vegetable + Dal + Salad/ Oatmeal/ 3 egg whites

Mid-morning- Coconut water/ Fruit/ Steamed Salad

Lunch- Veg Pulao/ Boiled rice/ Plain Chapatti with Vegetable + Dal + Salad

Evening- Roasted rice flakes/ Sprouts/ Herbal tea/ homemade soup/ dry roasted chana/ makhana

Dinner- Veg Dalia/ Veg Khichdi/ Boiled rice/ Plain Chapatti with Vegetable + Dal + Salad

Before sleep- Warm milk with ½ tsp turmeric powder mixed in it.

✔️ Cereals: Whole grains, Oatmeal, Brown rice, Toast (Rush)-2, Barley, Millets, Wheat flour❌ White refined flour
✔️ Pulses: All pulses and soya products❌ Dried and frozen pulses
✔️ Fruits: Pomegranate, Figs, Pear, Muskmelon, Watermelon, Oranges, Papaya, Banana, Apple, Avocado, Peaches and all types of berries❌ Canned or packaged fruits and juices
✔️ Vegetables: Peppermint, Ginger, Raw onion, Red peppers, Potatoes, Peas, Bell peppers, Cucumber, Beets, Brussels sprouts, Cabbage, Beans, Kale, Spinach, Chicory green, Turnip, Asparagus, Sweet potatoes, Carrots, Broccoli, Lettuce, Pumpkin and all other green leafy vegetables❌ Coconut, Frozen and canned vegetables
✔️ Dairy Products: Low fat milk (occasionally)❌ Whole milk and cream, Full fat yogurt, Buttermilk, Curd, Butter, Blue veined cheese, Unpasteurized cheese, Raw milk, Condensed milk and Ripened cheese
✔️ Fats: Coconut oil, Soybean oil, Rice bran oil, Olive oil, Sunflower oil and Cow ghee❌ Palm oil, Cream and Unsaturated fats
✔️ Spices: Turmeric, Celery seeds, Oregano, Cinnamon, Fenugreek seeds, Green cardamom, Fennel, Ginger, Salt, Coriander and Cumin❌ Red chilies
✔️ Flesh foods: Lean meat, Sea food, Eggs, White meat chicken, Fish (Salmon, Herring, Albacore, Sardines, Tuna, Mackerel)


Consume flesh foods occasionally only

❌ Processed, Uncooked and Raw meat, Fish (Selfish, Marlin and Shark), Duck, Mutton, Rabbit, Lamb, Lean beef, Crab, Lobster, Prawns, Red meat, etc.
✔️ Dry fruits and seeds: Raisins, Figs, Dates, Brazil nuts, Walnut, Almonds (5-6 soaked overnight)❌ Peanuts, Cashew nuts and Pistachio
✔️ Seeds: Chia seeds, pumpkin seeds and flax seeds❌ Sunflower seeds
✔️ Drinks: Pumpkin juice, Aloe Vera juice, Herbal tea, Green juice, Sugarcane juice, and Coconut water❌ Coffee, Tea, Carbonated drinks, Squashes, Soft drinks, Alcohol, Whole milk drinks, Canned and packaged soup
✔️ Prepared foods: Jaggery and other homemade foods❌ Bakery items, Jams, Fruit jellies, Fried foods, Coconut bar, Butterscotch, Chocolate fudge, Mayonnaise, Packed soups, Spicy foods, Junk food and other processed and packed items

Doctor Tips

  1. Keep your body hydrated by drinking at least 10-12 glasses of water daily.
  2. Go for a walk for a minimum 30 minutes.
  3. Consume small and frequent meals throughout the day.
  4. Prefer whole fruits rather than fruit juices.
  5. Don’t skip meals, especially breakfast.
